They developed out of my work with the Movement Choir. Most prints are of hand gestures or hand dialogues which originated from photographs taken during movement explorations in different landscapes.
This culmination of personal gestural vocabulary explores a 1st Person Science. Different modes of perception that rely on tuning into phenomena in nature and also the human world, evoke physical responses in form of gesture. This evolving personal physical language stands opposite the ready-made inpersonal language with which we use to understand and describe the things around us.
For the future I want to create large scale ink prints on paper as well as wall and street surfaces, an way to merge graffiti style with fine art aesthetics.
